Copyrights

Copyright has a long history some are advocates and others are not. Whatever your thoughts copyright is a right enshrined in law.

I personally have come to understand what it means to have copyrights. My mother, Joy Hester (1920-1960) has had many of her artworks published and many controversial interpretations of her life have enjoyed public exposure. When this occurs my personal life has become public, by default my life is known more to others than myself. The copyright holders including myself enjoy the small sums of copyright royalties, generated from Viscopy and Copyright Agencies diligence.

To obtain copyright release on artwork for Joy Hester, Gray Smith(1919-1990) and Fern Smith go to Viscopy the government Australian licensing agency for visual copyright. Go to http://www.viscopy.com.au

To obtain copyright release of text, prose, letters, correspondence, articles etc by Joy Hester, Gray Smith and Fern Smith Go to http://www.copyright.com.au
