Working in oils came slowly to me I thought too messy, too long and too dry. Coming from a family of artists who put art straight down perfecting that instant emotional response, they didn't go to oils often. After my father died, a huge change took place, a continental shift I made my first few tentative moves toward oil. 19 years later, I am just starting to get to know the medium its beauty and depth of colour its flexibility. Below are a few examples

The sample of diptych artworks in the centre of the page were produced in 2004. 'disEaseHCV' - A collaborative partnership with the Hepatitis C Council of Victoria, Aids Hepatitis, Sexual Health Line, Access Information Centre at the Alfred, ARCSHS at La Trobe University, City of Melbourne, Department of Human Services, Roche and Roche Diagnostics. The exhibition launched Hepatitis C Week, opened by, the then Honourable Bronwyn Pike, Minister for Health.
